Disparate Simile #7: My Bro

Here are some shots of my brother, Robert.
He's a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army and currently serving in Afghanistan.
At age 16, he started flying Cessna's for fun.

He now flies Blackhawks for a living.

As Commanding Officer, he was charged with defining the mission of his Task Force. He chose the name, "Brawler."

For the past few months, he's been working with an Afghan Infantry Battalion.

Working to build bridges across large divides.

For the first time in 8 years, I've suddenly felt hopeful about Afghanistan.
